What do you do for work, Mayhem? For me, alcohol is usually a reward for a long hard work week ... but I have cut it down to maybe a monthly ritual. So I guess it now would be a reward for a long hard month at work.

Manning and the Colts are favored to win next year's Super Bowl, according to odds released Monday by BetUS.com.
Indianapolis is a 7-1 favorite to take home the NFL championship, followed by the Chargers (8-1), Saints (9-1) and the Patriots (10-1).
The Rams, coming off a 1-15 season, are the longest shot on the board at 150-1.
The Colts were 5-point favorites in the Super Bowl on Sunday, but Drew Brees and the Saints rallied for a 31-17 victory. New Orleans sealed the upset when Tracy Porter intercepted Manning's pass and returned it for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Indianapolis is 3-1 to get back to the Super Bowl, while New Orleans is 5-1. Read More: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/nfl/02/08/2010.odds.ap/index.html#ixzz0fGIh497a Get a free NFL Team Jacket and Tee with SI Subscription

the Pats shouldn't be on that list ... they are in a rebuilding phase for the next 2-3 years still ... they will keep winning AFC East Championships and possible win first round playoff games, but their defense is going to take time to mature, and their offense is in transition

sorry sir, but I have to disagree with that.
Saints showed you don't need a great defence to win, if your offence is killin it, and your D can make a turnover or two... which is what Bill Bs def allways have done.
The Pats are a solid, consistent RB away from being a SB contender.
LT goes to Pats in Offseason... Pats win SB 2011!!..
you read it hear first!!!

We actually were talking about LT coming to the Pats a couple days ago at work ... the consensus is he might be all done, he has lost more than a step IMO. With Welker coming off knee surgery, there is no definite that he will ever be the same either. I still think the day the Pats got pass happy was the day that they lost their grip. You are right about an RB, but not sure LT is the guy anymore.

yeah, i can see that too.
but LT palyed pretty good towards the end of the year and showed glimpes of his old self. another year of rehab and strengthing and he could be back to 90%ish range... plus.... he's motivated to get up in the records. he's real close to overcoming some huge milestones.
i'd say welker comes back fine next year... i'd be more worried about Moss myself... he's way past his expiration date for this team.

problem with Moss is he shuts it down some games when they are doubling him and playing him tough at the line of scrimmage .... he needs a stud to take the pressure off his side ... when he has some room to operate and is not dinged up, Moss can still out run just about anyone ... I guess he played the last 8 games this year with a separated shoulder?
you might be right about LT ... it could be another signing a lot like Corey Dillon a few years back ... that would be cool if you are right

Johnny Damon, Roger Clemens and Wade Boggs all signed with the Yankees ... when it comes to pro athletes, it is all about a ring and the money, bottomline.

WOW, on the money. Pats are in desperate need of a pass rush ... those moves make a lot more sense ... I don't think they could ever score all 3, but concentrate on 2 good pass rushers seems like the best move for 2010-2011.

I think you are right about the pass rushers, but it will be tough to get players from the AFC East, I don't see the Phins letting Porter go to the Pats. I hope they do.

Welker will be back, he is too critical to the offense.

Jason Taylor to shore up the pass rush.??? Jason Taylor of the Dolphins?
U kidding right?
Porter I can see, but there's no way the Phish give up him to a div rival.
And yeah, the Cowboys are real deap a RB, and should move Barber on and get some quality in a trade. With Jones and Choice, they could have the best 1,2,3 in the league, overall. (with the exception of the Saints only)

Moss to DAL for Barber? Then the Pats make a play for FA Porter.
